Spirit of the Lake Community Arts is excited to invite your members and friends to join artist Alison Aune for Contemporary Creative Swedish Slöjd – a monthly, hands-on journey into traditional and contemporary Swedish folk crafts, inspired by Alison’s study trips to Sweden.

Each session explores a unique craft tradition (its history, cultural significance, and modern interpretations) while participants create their own inspired piece at our welcoming community space in Duluth.

Spirit of the Lake Community Arts (SOLCA) is a creative hub located in Duluth, Minnesota’s Lakeside neighborhood. The center offers classes, festivals, events, and rental spaces for artists and community members. Formerly a Waldorf-inspired school, SOLCA has since transitioned to a community-based arts organization.
