Lucia Honorees – Past and Present

St. Lucia’s Day, December 13, is a beloved observance in Sweden and around the world. The Swedish Cultural Society of Duluth is pleased to choose a young woman to portray the legendary role of Lucia in our Sankta Lucia Celebration. In a time of great darkness, Lucia, through her great faith, was generous to the poor, bringing light and hope to all.
